Borovets – a perfect ski destination

Right in the middle of the ski season, here is our proposal: Borovets, one of the best Bulgarian ski resorts. This is the first and the biggest ski resort in Bulgaria, established in 1896 by king Ferdinand, and now has 24 ski tracks and 12 lift lines. It is located 73 kilometers south from Sofia near the town of Samokov.

Borovets is a preferred destination for many foreign tourists from a lot of years. The reasons: long ski tracks, high above sea level, new luxurious hotels and the short distance to the capital Sofia and the airport. Some of the most preferred hotels are Yastrebets, Iceberg, Rila, Samokov, Royal Plaza Borovets, etc. Along with the ski you can find spa procedures, swimming pools, many restaurants, bars and discotheques.

Borovets is a place with extremely clean air, useful for healthy tourism even in the summer. A lot of foreign citizens from UK and other countries bought properties and enjoy the ski tracks in the winter and the clean air and beautiful nature in the winter. So this became a place not only for seasonal tourism but for resident living too. The near town of Samokov gives opportunities for medical care, schools, shopping and all other urban needs. The capital Sofia can be reached with one hour driving, there are regular bus lines too.
